We are proud to have been able to contribute to the brand new headquarters of Picanol Group in Ypres. For the future-oriented building, we supplied various walls and doors, tailored to the high demands in terms of quality, comfort, aesthetics and acoustics.
With a floor area of 20,000 m², the new building offers a modern and sustainable work and meeting place for the employees of Picanol, Psicontrol and Proferro. The head office was built on the existing company site in Ypres and is directly connected to the production departments.
The architecture, designed by AAVO Architects, subtly refers to Picanol's roots as a weaving machine manufacturer: the building is shaped like a shuttle. The first two floors contain a spacious lobby, reception areas, meeting rooms, an auditorium and offices. Above that are three oval-shaped floors with additional offices, meeting rooms and a company restaurant with a roof terrace and panoramic views of Ypres and the surrounding hills.
The works started in September 2022 and took approximately 2.5 years. Main contractor Alheembouw was responsible for the realization, together with a network of mainly local partners, including AVC Gemino.
